The Birds

I watched the birds
So wild and free
How I long to be like them
Soaring high and low so happily.

They pluck and peck
And scoop and weave
In the sky
And in the trees.

Their coats glistening
Their ears listening
Don't move a bone
Or off they go.

The cold wind blows
It's time to venture
To a place where the weathers nicer
It's time for the birds to scatter
But it doesn't matter
They'll be back next year.

Your garden.

The flowers in your garden are bright and colourful
The flowers in my garden are beginning to droop and fall
The soil in your garden is rich and nutritious
The soil in mine is polluted and cracked
The water from the tap in your garden is really clean and fresh
The water that mine supplies is much better left
But your garden is artificial and fake
Whereas mine has a story
A story of how my un-kept garden is much prettier than yours.

Time to rest.

Staring blankly at the wall
As the wall stares blankly back
Not many thoughts are in my mind
I just sit there with no emotion
As my mind has time to rest.

The breeze it tickles my bare skin
But I don't slightly move
I just sit here staring blankly at the wall
As my mind has time to rest

The people around me
Their minds run wild
They talk, and laugh and all of them smile
All but one, and that one is me
I just sit there staring at the wall
As I let my body rest

My legs they ache
My toes they hurt
And my back is uncomfortable
But I don't care about all that
I just stare blankly at the wall
As I let my soul rest

Silently..

Your Sitting there silently
You look at me
You look at me
Why don't you speak?
Just speak to me.

I glance at you
And wonder why:
You like to be alone all the time
You keep yourself, to yourself
And never talk to anyone else.

I wish I could say "Hi" to you
But I'm scared of what you will do
Will you speak to me?
Or look at me?
Or will you sit there silently?

When you look at me
A strange feeling lingers
My throat goes dry, my heart pauses, I am still
But then I slightly flinch my fingers.

I never speak, you never speak
We just sit there silently
But in a way we connect,
When I hear our hearts unite in beat.

So lets just sit here silently
And click our fingers and move our feet
I hear your beat
You hear my beat
Whilst we sit there silently.
